BS100 - Series Electrical Actuator Basically Consist Of Following Basic Units:

  • 1. Reversible Synchronous Stall Duty Motor With A Permanently Connected Starting Capacitor
  • 2. Power Gearing
  • 3. Control Circuit

The Reversible Single Phase Synchronous Motor Is A Specially Designed Low Rpm Stall Duty Motor. This Feature Makes Actuator Trouble Free I.E. Fit And Forget Type.

The Power Gearing Consist Of Worm And Worm Wheel Mechanism In Which Worm Is Connected To Motor Is Connected To Motor Either By Direct Coupling Or Via Spur Gear And The Transmission Has Been Lubricated For Life.

Control Circuit Will Basically Consist Of Switching And Signalling Devices In Which Two Micro Limit Switches Are Used To Control Actuator End Position And Additional Micro Limit Switches , Position Transmitter Can Be Provided Of The Purpose Of Output Signalling Position .

The Terminal Of Micro Switches , The Position Transmitter And Electric Motor Are Brought Out To The Terminal Strip Inside Of Top Cover Which Provides Electric Connection Of The Electric Actuator To External Circuit By Means Of A Cable With Maximum Conductor Cross Section Of 2.5 Sq. mm Through A Special Cable Gland Having IP67 Class Of Protection.

For Automatic Positioning Of Actuator Output Shaft Depending On Input Signal Servo Controller Can Be Provided .In This Input Signal Is Compared With The Feed Back Signal Of The Position Transmitter/Pot Meter . The Resulting Control The Actuator Output Shaft Being Brought Into The Position Corresponding To The Input Control.

LINEAR CYLINDER ELECTRICAL ACTUATOR (THRUSTER)

BS300 Series Electronic Cylinders/Actuators are suitable for operation of Pipeline/ Fan Dampers, Valves with Rising Stem, Flap Gates, Shutter Valves, Fuel Feed Mechanisms, Blower Pitch Regulators, Fart Blades, Pitch Adjusters, Fluid Couplings for Speed Control and many more similar application.

CONSTRUCTION:

`BS300` Series cover wide range of thrust, stroke and speed to suit individual requirement.

`BS300` Series cover wide range of thrust, stroke and speed to suit individual requirement. BS300 Series electric cylinder is a compact powerful unit providing Breakaway force up to 1000 kgs. and positioning strokes up to 500mm of standard units. Higher Thrust and Higher Strokes are also available on request. The cylinder is totally enclosed and weatherproof. The drive rod of the electric cylinder is plated; corrosion resistant. All electrical connections are within a common cast housing with two NPT conduit entries. All models are available with standard foot or Trunnion mounting arrangement for ease of installations.

OPERATIONS:

The High Torque Drive Motor is connected to the drive screw through A Gear Reductor Unit having a suitable ratio. With rotation of a Drive Screw; a mating drive nut and a drive rod moves axially. Limit of travel of drive rod; can be adjusted for typical applications with the help of Travel Limit Switches housed in the control box of cylinder. When the continuation of the movement of a drive rod is prevented by some external obstacle, the adjustable Thrust Limit Switches interrupts power to a motor, preventing damage to both Electric Cylinder an the Equipment being operated. Single or Tandem Position Transmitters are also provided, on request, for feedback of positioning of the driven equipment. A milli-amp. Kit; to provide current output from position Transmitter; is also available; on request.

BS300 Series Electric Cylinder is provide with hand wheel for manual operation with auto declutching system as a standard. This gives motor overriding feature. Locking can be provided for mode selection on demand. Also provided with a built-in mechanical position indicator which gives continuous indication of actuator stroke on the actuator.
